Crocheting is one of the crafts that no machine can do. Maybe that’s part of the reason Christina loves creating with yarn and a crochet hook. Her expertise lays in crocheting animals, characters, and mythical creatures. Always up for a challenge, it excites her to crochet something new and unique.

Hooked on Animals Shop started during the Covid lockdown. With lots of spare time - a craft she’d learned by the time she was six years old - re-emerged into a passion. Since then, she has created and sold hundreds of big and small creatures through online sales and craft fairs.

 

Christina grew up in a small town in Switzerland, surrounded by natural beauty. In her mid- twenties she met her late husband and moved to Southern California where her two daughters were born and raised. For a decade, she lived with her family on a small farm on the outskirts of L.A. with horses, a llama, a goat, chickens and always a couple of dogs and cats. These animals inspired her to write five children’s books expressing her love for the natural world. At the present time she lives in Moorpark, California.
